ATL Food Bank Feeds 1K TSA Workers
More than 1,000 Transportation Security Administration workers were provided 26,492 meals at a recent food giveaway.
ATLANTA, GA — More than 1,000 TSA workers were recently fed after a food distribution sponsored by the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
The distribution was held Saturday and provided 26,492 meals for 1,243 workers of the Transportation Security Administration, the food bank said in a Facebook post published Tuesday.
"The shutdown continues to place a heavy burden on many neighbors, especially federal employees. Your support helps us meet this urgent need. Donate today to help us continue to provide meals to those in need," the food bank said.

The food bank on Friday shared an updated list of mobile food pantry giveaways throughout metro Atlanta.
Distributions will be held in Marietta, College Park, Douglasville, Stone Mountain, Conyers, Atlanta, Tucker, Smyrna, Decatur, Covington, Lawrenceville, Riverdale and Carrollton.
