GA's Only NASCAR Track Gets New Name Ahead Of Quaker State 400

Track officials on Tuesday say the Atlanta Motor Speedway has assumed its new name due to a seven-year, multimillion-dollar partnership.

HAMPTON, GA — The Atlanta Motor Speedway is gone, and EchoPark Speedway is now here.

Track officials announced on Tuesday that the Atlanta Motor Speedway has assumed its new name as part of a seven-year, multimillion-dollar partnership between Speedway Motorsports and EchoPark Automotive. The latter operates under the umbrella of Sonic Automotive.

The Hampton-based speedway, known as Georgia's only NASCAR track, is reimagining its identity just weeks before welcoming guests on June 28 to the Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart.

Attracting race fans in the Peach State, the 850-acre facility was once known as the Atlanta International Raceway and has sat for 66 years in Hampton, track officials stated.

EchoPark brings a new green signature color and logo to the Atlanta speedway, a makeover track officials stated they plan to debut at the Quaker State 400.

“We’re thrilled to partner with an innovative, customer-focused company like EchoPark Automotive as the entitlement partner of our newly named EchoPark Speedway,” Speedway Motorsports President and CEO Marcus Smith said in a news release.

“EchoPark Automotive is as committed to exceptional customer service as we are, and we know that together we’ll elevate our fan experience to a new level unmatched for southern hospitality. This partnership will fuel great experiences for fans attending our speedway for years to come.”

Track officials stated they plan to award the Quaker State 400 winner with an almost-new EchoPark Chevy Silverado and trailer, as well as one of 26 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Limited Edition Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

The Quaker State 400 is one of two races hosted at the Atlanta track this year. The Ambetter Health 400 was held in February, when Christopher Bell claimed his victory.
