  1. Atlanta police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in northwest Atlanta on Sunday. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Atlantic Loring Heights apartment complex on Deering Road. Investigators are currently searching for a silver Nissan Maxima, which they believe the suspect may have been driving at the time. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. The 10th annual Atlanta Science Festival takes place from Mar. 10-25. The program will offer more than 150 science events for participants of all ages, featuring topics from coffee brewing to alien life. To explore the full list of events at this year's festival, click here. (Decaturish.com )
  3. Atlanta's first Black television reporter, Lo Jelks, passed away this weekend at the age of 83. Jelks joined WSB-TV as an on-air reporter in 1967 and was inducted last year into the Atlanta Press Club Hall of Fame. Funeral service arrangements for Jelks were still pending Monday afternoon.   4. The Atlanta Hawks have hired Quin Snyder on a five-year contract as the basketball team's new coach. The 56-year-old coach replaces Nate McMillan, who was fired by the team just last week. Snyder is expected to make his debut at tonight's home game against the Washington Wizards. (ESPN)
  5. A nonprofit that encourages Black youth to enter the tech industry has received a $2 million grant from Comcast to bring the program to Atlanta. The Hidden Genius Project trains and mentors students in technology creation, entrepreneurship, and leadership. The grant will allow the program to expand into Atlanta and Chicago.
