'Atlanta Streets Alive' Schedule Released

Project shuts down roadways to vehicles and allows bicyclists and pedestrians to explore.

ATLANTA, GA -- The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition (ABC) recently released the dates and routes for Atlanta Streets Alive, the popular event that turns city streets into bike rider- and pedestrian-friendly thoroughfares.

This year, ABC added a new route on Marietta Street & Howell Mill Road.

Atlanta Streets Alive closes huge sections of popular streets to vehicles and allows people to roam where they please in the name of exploration. The "open streets" concept includes live music, games and dancing.
