Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson in Running for Best Airport Dining

The competition, which runs until Feb. 13, is an important accolade among the flights and bites set.

ATLANTA, GA -- The world's busiest airport is up for an important accolade among the flights and bites set: Best airport food.

The dining experience of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is up against the likes of Charlotte's Douglas International Airport, JFK in New York and LAX in the USA Today Readers' Digest 10Best, which lists the choicest establishments voted on by consumers.

Hartsfield features such Atlanta institutions as The Varsity, Paschals, SweetWater Drafthouse & Bar and the new Chicken and Beer by hometown rapper Ludacris.

While other airports feature some pretty good eateries, Atlanta's 149 food establishments make it an automatic favorite among voters, who have until Feb. 13 at noon ET to cast their virtual ballots.

Of note is that Boston's Logan International Airport is in the running.

Set against the backdrop of the Super Bowl, where Atlanta's Falcons football team plays the New England Patriots, the stakes are higher than ever right now for who's airport has the best dining.
