ATLANTA — Atlanta's I-20 eastbound has reopened at the junction with I-75/I-85 in downtown Atlanta after a police investigation of a deadly early-morning shooting.

The incident was reported around 5:20 this morning when officers were called to the area and discovered a man shot dead inside a wrecked vehicle, Atlanta Police spokesman Officer Steve Avery said.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and WSB Radio report that the back-up, which started just before the height of rush-hour traffic and closed all eastbound lanes on I-20, ended around 8:45 a.m.
