6 YSL Defendants See Charges Dropped In Gang Case
Another YSL defendant accepted a plea deal after Shannon Stillwell and Deamonte Kendrick were found not guilty of murder in the GA case.
ATLANTA, GA — The Fulton County District Attorney's Office dropped all charges against six of the remaining YSL defendants a day after the year-long gang trial against rapper Jeffery "Young Thug" Williams and five others ended Tuesday.
Prosecutors claimed Williams' YSL is a criminal street gang known as Young Slime Life, while defense attorneys argued YSL stands for Young Stoner Life and is a rap label. Twenty-eight people, including Williams and rapper Sergio "Gunna" Kitchens, were arrested for alleged violent acts occurring in or around the Cleveland Avenue area.
On Wednesday, charges against Jayden "Settrip" Myrick, Kahlieff "Bobby Hunt" Adams, Damone "Bali" Blalock, Javaris "Tuda" Bradford, Justin Cobb and Jevon "4Tray" Fleetwood were dismissed, Fox 5 Atlanta reported Friday.

The group's cases were previously severed from Williams' trial, the news outlet reported. Adams is serving a life in prison without parole sentence for a murder conviction, Fox 5 reported.
Blalock is also serving a life sentence for a murder conviction but has appealed his case before the Georgia Supreme Court. A decision has not yet been made.

Also on Wednesday, YSL defendant Jimmy "Roscoe" Winfrey, 34, entered a negotiated plea deal. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate the Georgia Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act for possession of oxycodone and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He was accused of participating in a racketeering conspiracy through YSL. Prosecutors alleged he intimidated witnesses and obstructed law enforcement. They said marijuana, pills that tested positive for oxycodone and a 45-caliber Glock 21 were found in his car during a 2021 traffic stop.
Prosecutors introduced Winfrey's prior Cobb County convictions, one of which stemmed from the shooting of rapper Dwayne "Lil' Wayne" Carter's tour bus.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Whitaker accepted the negotiated sentence of 10 years with 16 months of time served for the RICO charge against Winfrey, who has been incarcerated since August 2023. The balance will be served on probation.
Winfrey was sentenced to 16 months of time served for the drug charge and seven years of probation for the gun charge. There are special conditions.
There are still defendants facing charges as part of the original May 2022 indictment, Fox 5 reported.
This all came after former defendants Shannon "SB" Stillwell and Deamonte "Yak Gotti" Kendrick on Tuesday were found not guilty of murder and other charges in connection with the gang and racketeering case.
Kendrick was found not guilty of all charges, and Stillwell was solely found guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Whitaker sentenced Stillwell to 10 years with two to serve and credit for time served. The remainder of the sentence will be served on probation.
Williams on Halloween pleaded guilty to most charges against him and received a 40-year sentence with credit for time served. He was released with 15 years of probation and a host of special conditions.
Kitchens also entered a guilty plea and was released from jail.
