First responders and medical personnel from Grady Memorial Hospital are on the scene early, police told WSB.
According to WGCL, two of the three children hurt in the attack were rushed to the Children's Healthcare at Egleston for emergency surgery.
A witness told WSB-TV that he "chased the dog" away and "picked the little child's lifeless body up."
The funeral for Logan was held this past weekend in Lawrenceville. Attorney Andrew Goldner announced that his law firm will represent the child's family. On the firm's Facebook page, Goldner said Logan loved Georgia's sports teams:
"Joshua S. Stein and I have been asked to represent the family of the 6 year-old boy, Logan Braatz, who was mauled and tragically killed during this attack. As one would imagine, the Braatz family is devastated and attempting to deal with the greatest loss imaginable. Logan was a wonderful little boy—energetic, happy, and full of joy. Logan simply made everyone around him a better person. Logan was a huge sports fan and loved the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs. He was described by his family as an “old soul” who even at the young age of 6 took care of everyone around him."
