ATLANTA – In what has become a tradition for Atlanta artists and local arts supporters, Lee Harper, founding director of Atlanta’s Lee Harper & Dancers and fine arts painter, will host a Holiday Open House/Art Show at her south Buckhead dance studio on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Guests are invited to drop in during the Open House hours to enjoy seasonal refreshments, lively conversation, and beautiful guitar music provided by Harper’s son, Fin Vason. Harper’s studio walls will showcase a number of Harper’s colorful paintings, most of which feature dancers, landscapes and still lifes. “It’s such a pleasure to welcome old and new friends to my Holiday Open House every year,” said Harper. “I especially enjoy watching my guests interact since this event includes fellow artists, neighbors, extended family, friends of friends and more. Each year, this event is the catalyst for new connections, renewed friendships and even new collaborative artistic endeavors. Art of any kind can be a solitary pursuit, so I am committed to creating opportunities for artists and friends to gather in person. You never know what ideas may be sparked by an engaging conversation! Some of my paintings will be available for purchase, but the focus of the afternoon is fun and fellowship. Besides, what’s more festive than a holiday party?”
