Delta, Southwest Adding More Flights For Super Bowl LIII

Delta and Southwest are offering more flights into and out of the world's busiest airport before and after Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.

ATLANTA -- Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines are preparing for Super Bowl LIII with increased service to Atlanta. Additional Delta non-stop flights on Friday, Feb. 1, from Los Angeles and Boston are now available for purchase on Delta.com. Delta has also added return flights for Monday, Feb. 4. The added service will be offered on a 199-seat Boeing 757 aircraft featuring 20 First Class seats, 29 seats in Delta Comfort+ and 150 seats in main cabin.

Additional Delta service will also be offered from Atlanta to New York-LaGuardia the following Monday.

On Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, Southwest Airlines is offering the following nonstop service:

  • Boston to Atlanta, four flights (an increase of two flights)
  • Los Angeles (LAX) to Atlanta, two flights (an increase of one flight)
  • St. Louis to Atlanta, five flights (an increase of one flight)

On Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, Southwest is offering these additional flights:

  • Atlanta to Boston, four nonstop flights (an increase of two flights)
  • Atlanta to Los Angeles (LAX), two nonstop flights (an increase of one flight)
  • Atlanta to St. Louis, five nonstop flights (an increase of one flight)

Super Bowl LIII features the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Road closures for events ahead of the game began in downtown and Midtown on Monday, with more road closures to follow.
