Here are the top stories today in Atlanta:

  1. Grady EMS workers have filed complaints with the National Labor Relations Board. The complaints allege unfair labor practices by the Atlanta hospital. Hospital administrators denied the allegations. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. Three men are being charged after a search and seizure at an Atlanta motel. Officers recovered 159 grams of crack cocaine, 52 grams of marijuana, and four firearms at the motel rooms. Two younger men were charged with trafficking and possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime. The older man, who had 21 previous arrests, was charged additionally with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. (WSB Atlanta)
  3. A mother is in the burn unit, and a father has died after a house fire in southwest Atlanta. The house fire, which took place on Wednesday, was a harrowing experience for firefighters. Firefighters visited the neighborhood on Saturday to distribute free smoke detectors and masks to anyone who wanted them. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  4. Atlanta police responded Saturday night to a shooting in which a man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his hand. According to officers, a call led them to the area near Stovall Street and Glenwood Park Lofts. The police did not find the victim at the scene but later found him at the hospital, where he said the shooting began after an argument. According to the woman who called the police, this is part of a larger problem with car break-ins and violence on the street. (11Alive.com WXIA)
