COLLEGE PARK, GA — A WNBA fan is facing charges after being accused of throwing a sex toy at a recent Atlanta Dream game, briefly causing the team's matchup with the Golden State Valkyries to pause, reports say.

As the Dream battled the Valkyries Tuesday at the Gateway Center Arena in College Park, a green object resembling a sex toy appeared to be thrown onto the court during a play, per a video shared by HuffPost.

The person accused of throwing the object, who was not identified, was arrested on unknown charges and could be banned from games for one year, the WNBA said in a statement secured by the Associated Press.

This came days after someone in Chicago threw a sex toy under a basket after a whistle was blown to stop play during the third quarter of Golden State’s 73-66 victory over the Sky. An official kicked the object aside before it was picked up and removed.

“The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league. Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials and fans,” the league said in a statement. “In line with WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities.”
