Fast-Casual Concept Saladworks Plans Expansion To Atlanta

Saladworks is bringing two franchises to the Atlanta market, with three more coming after that.

ATLANTA, GA -- A new salad franchise is expanding into metro Atlanta, with two locations set to open this year, Patch has learned. Saladworks, a fast-casual salad concept, will add three to five stores locally over the next year, bringing 80 jobs with them.

Today Saladworks is in 13 states and two counties. Franchisees Douglas Anthony and Ramjit Handa are uprooting from New Jersey to Atlanta to open the first two locations, in the North Druid Hills area and at Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport in Concourse C.

The company is also looking at Dunwoody and Alpharetta for locations. President and CEO Patrick Sugrue knows the city well, having earned his MBA from Emory University and subsequently working at Coca-Cola.

The company is eyeing several more locations around metro Atlanta, including Sandy Springs, Cumming, Dunwoody, Toco Hills and more.
