'Firebomb' Set At Fulton Commissioner's SW Atlanta Law Offices: Reports

The southwest Atlanta law offices belonging to Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington Jr. were firebombed, according to reports.

ATLANTA, GA — Fire investigators are looking into who firebombed a Fulton County commissioner’s office over the weekend, according to reports.

Crews with the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department were called to a building on fire Sunday evening in the 2000 block of Fairburn Road in Southwest Atlanta, WSB TV News reports. The building contains the law offices of Arrington and Phillips, of which Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin Arrington Jr. is a partner. No one was injured and fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze, according to reports.

Fire officials confirmed that the blaze was started by a “firebomb” and Arrington told Channel 2 Action News reporter Ashli Lincoln that his office was the target of the attack. He said he had not received any threats prior to the incident, however.
