Fraud Charges Suspect Bilked Insurance of Over $42K: Insurance Commissioner
An Atlanta man was jailed for insurance fraud charges and accusations that he falsified a police report.
ATLANTA — An Atlanta man faces forgery, insurance fraud charges for accusations that he filed a bogus police report and insurance claim. , among other things.
The Georgia Insurance Commissioner said Tyrone Bernard Briscoe, 35, was wanted on 16 counts of forgery, insurance fraud and one count of false statements and writings charges on an incident stemming from December.
Authorities said Briscoe bilked his insurance company of $42,524.

“It was discovered that Mr. Briscoe submitted several fraudulent invoice receipts, several fraudulent monthly credit card statements, a fraudulent lease agreement, as well as a fraudulent Atlanta Police report,” State Insurance Commissioner John King said in a statement.
Briscoe was booked into the Fulton County Jail on Monday and later released on a signature bond the same day, according to jail records.
