Funnel Cake Sundaes And Tacos: 5 New Restaurants To Know In Georgia

Patch has compiled details of new restaurants that have opened or will open in Georgia.

GEORGIA — From a ski-inspired pop-up eatery to ever-growing Mexican-inspired chains, it seems Georgia's culinary scene is cooking up new restaurants constantly.

One ice cream shop puts a flavorful twist on popular chips, while another new restaurant seeks to bring Japan to the Peach State.

Patch has compiled details of new restaurants that have opened or will open in Georgia.

They are as follows:

Shiloh's Chalet, Alpharetta

Where: 142 S. Main St., Alpharetta

Product or Service: parmesan truffle fries, spinach artichoke dip, chili, s'mores, funnel cake sundae, ginger snap buttered rum, frosted cosmopolitan and espresso martini.

Amenities: Lounge seating and a bar. Reservations are accepted via Resy. Special events will be hosted.

Hours of operation: 5-10 p.m. Sunday-Wednesday and 5-11 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. Opens on Nov. 29.

"Shiloh’s Chalet (a pop-up) will debut just in time for the holiday season, providing a festive wintery wonderland and après-ski lounge experience through Feb. 2," organizers said in a news release.

Taco Mac, Conyers

Where: 1825 Southeast Highway 138, Conyers

Product or Service: Original, boneless and oven-roasted wings; tacos, nachos and quesadillas; burgers, chicken sandwiches and other handhelds; salads; macaroni and cheese and crispy Brussels sprouts.

Amenities: Catering, E-club, Brewniversity beer loyalty program, gift cards and online ordering.

Hours of operation: Not immediately available. Grand opening at 10 a.m. Monday.

“We’re thrilled to bring Conyers a welcoming spot where friends can come together over great food, drinks and every sports moment they love,” Harold Martin, Jr., chief executive officer of Taco Mac, said in a news release. “Like our other locations, Taco Mac Conyers offers guests a state-of-the-art audio-visual experience, complete with a massive LED wall to ensure everyone has the best seat in the house.”

Mango’s Ice Cream and Snacks, Marietta

Where: 2745 Sandy Plains Road, Suite 106

Product or Service: Crazy Doritos topped with cheese, chicharron, fruit cocktail, crazy Takis, sno cones, ice cream, nachos with cheese, milk popsicles, tropical colada and Mexican street corn.

Hours of operation: 11 a.m.-midnight Monday-Wednesday and 11 a.m.-3 a.m. Thursday-Sunday.

Ryokou, Adair Park

Where: 565 Northside Drive SW, Suite 101, Atlanta

Product or Service: Seafood from the city of Aomori and the Northern region of Japan; steamed, thin-sliced abalone served over rice mixed with the abalone liver; Nigiri topped with horsehair crab from Hokkaido prefecture; wagyu beef from Kyushu, smoked Japanese-style; and Japanese-inspired desserts.

Amenities: Reservations via Resy.

Hours of operation: Not immediately known. Opens on Dec. 14. Time unavailable.

“Our goal is to provide an experience and understanding of food from across Japan,” Michelin award-winning Chef Leonard Yu said in a news release. “From the northern area, known for its crab, scallop shellfish, and other seafood, down to the southern island of Kyushu, which is famous for its wagyu beef.”

Rreal Tacos, Atlanta Beltline

Where: Across from Ponce City Market’s Beltline entrance (Ponce City Market: 675 Ponce De Leon Ave. NE)

Product or Service: Elote, esquites, tacos, consome, a birria pizza, tortas, burritos, tostadas, burrito bowls, quesabirrias, quesadillas, nachos and salads.

Amenities: Indoor-outdoor patio and an expansive indoor bar. Reservations via OpenTable.

Hours of operation: Not immediately known. Opens in 2025.

"We're excited to bring Rreal Tacos to the Beltline's vibrant Eastside Trail," Rreal Tacos' Chief Executive Officer Damian Otero said in a news release. "When we discovered this space was available—already built, thoughtfully designed, and in an area with high foot traffic—we seized the opportunity. Taking over an existing restaurant space allows us to start serving the community even faster."
