Georgia Weather: Slick Roads Monday Before Week Heats Up
Black ice possible for most of the area Monday as overnight temperatures drop below freezing, but 67 degrees is also in the week's forecast.

ATLANTA, GA — There's a threat for icy conditions on the roadways Monday morning, but the ice will melt fast and we'll reach 67 degrees before the week is out, according to the National Weather Service. Before we warm up, black ice is possible on roadways and walkways overnight and early Monday morning, says forecasters.
"Any lingering moisture on roadways and walkways will re-freeze overnight," reads a weather service statement. "Slick spots on roads, bridges and walkways will make travel hazardous. Areas that will be extremely susceptible to black ice will be elevated roadways and off ramps, shaded areas and secondary roads."
We'll dip below freezing again Monday night, but temperatures warm quickly on Tuesday to the low 50s, and we'll reach the low 60s by Wednesday. The high temperature on Thursday and Friday will be 67 degrees.
