Georgia Weekend Weather: Sunny Just Long Enough

A few thunderstorms rolled through the region early Friday, but things should clear out nicely for most of the weekend.

We're looking at sunny skies and 80-degree weather through Saturday. But expect high winds through the weekend.

Skies will be mostly sunny Sunday and Monday, with the high near 75 degrees.

Pesky rain and thunderstorm chances return to the forecast for the rest of the week.

Here's the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Friday Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 80. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 80. West wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75.
