Hammonds House hosts panel with Allan Edmunds & Kevin Cole on March 22

Join us for an inspiring panel discussion on Community, Collaboration and Printmaking with Allan Edmunds and Kevin Cole, moderated by Halima Taha!

Dive into the vibrant world of community collaboration in the arts at our upcoming panel discussion, where we explore the transformative power of collective creativity. The event will take place at Hammonds House Museum in celebration of our current exhibition, Sacred Space: Brandywine Workshop & Archive which features the artwork of talented printmakers. Join us as we welcome Allan Edmunds, the visionary founder of Brandywine, alongside renowned artist Kevin Cole, both of whom have made significant contributions to the workshop and the art world.

Allan Edmunds is an artist, educator, and arts administrator with more than fifty years of accomplishments in all three areas. A graduate of Tyler School of Art & Architecture (BFA, MFA), Temple University in Philadelphia and Rome, Italy, he also studied as an Arts Management Fellow at the Getty Museum Management Institute and was a Senior Research Fellow in printmaking-computer graphics at the South Glamorgan School of Art, Cardiff, Wales, UK. As Founder-President Emeritus of the Brandywine Workshop and Archives in Philadelphia (1972-2022), Edmunds built an internationally respected art institution focused on the art of printmaking, established twenty satellite collections across the country and led the development of Artura.org, a free archival database now viewed in all 50 states and 122 countries across the globe. Kevin Cole, an award-winning artist/educator born in Pine Bluff Arkansas received his Bachelor of Science Degree in art education from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Master of Art is art education from the University of Illinois at Urbana, and a Master of Fine Art in Drawing from Northern Illinois University at Dekalb where he was a Rhoten A. Smith Scholar. Cole’s work has been featured in more than 500 exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad and is included in more than 4500 public, private, and corporate collections.
