Home Real Estate Secures Major Gift To The Boyce L. Ansley School

HOME Real Estate announced their gift to The Boyce L. Ansley School, a private school for children experiencing homelessness in downtown Atlanta, alongside that of their friends and clients, Todd and Kim Snell, totaling $60,000. The matched donation will enable the kindergarten through third-grade school to add a fourth grade to their program starting in the fall of 2023. They currently serve 60 children, and this financial support allows them to increase that number to 75 children.

Their passionate commitment to these children and their parents makes me want to work harder, so I can give them more money," says Travis Reed, president of HOME Real Estate. "When Todd said he would match our donation, I knew we needed to dig deep to make a real difference."

Todd Snell, the owner of Spectra Metals, says, “I believe in The Boyce L. Ansley School because by educating the child and offering wraparound services--counseling, housing assistance, and job training--to families, the school is actively improving their lives today and ultimately for the future. Our city will be stronger when we educate all our kids, starting here at The Boyce L. Ansley School.”

The Boyce L. Ansley School opened its doors on August 1, 2018, on the ground floor of St Luke’s Episcopal Church located in the heart of Atlanta with a Pre-Kindergarten class. Within two years, the school had outgrown its generously donated space and moved across the street to a larger, more permanent home on Ralph McGill Blvd. The parents and scholars of The Boyce L. Ansley School thrive within this framework of structure and support that provides two meals daily year-round, uniforms, transportation, trauma therapy, assistance with finding permanent housing, financial training for parents, and much more on a case-by-case basis. They currently employ one full-time therapist, two interventionists, fifteen staff members, and twenty regular volunteers.
