- A fire broke out early yesterday morning on Martha Avenue. The Atlanta Fire Rescue Department responded around 5:30 a.m., where they found a fully involved structure fire that affected two homes and a vehicle nearby. The cause of the fire was unknown as of Friday evening. (Atlanta Patch)
- Atlanta Police responded to a call around 1:54 a.m. about a boy shot multiple times by someone saying he was attempting to rob their home. The boy went to the hospital and was arrested for an outstanding warrant of robbery in Atlanta, as well as another warrant in another jurisdiction. The juvenile will be taken to Metro Youth Detention Center once he is released from the hospital. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- Kanye West wants to open a retail store in Atlanta with his popular clothing line, Yeezy. The rapper wrote in a now-deleted post on Instagram, "I signed with both Adidas and GAP because it contractually stated they would build permanent stores, which neither company has done.” West also said he wants Yeezy to go worldwide and wants that to begin with a store in Atlanta. - Newport RE is planning to build two 650-unit apartment towers in South Downtown. At 18 and 21 stories high, the construction is planned to begin in 2023 and be completed by 2025. The apartment towers will be located on the east and west side of Broad Street. (Reporter Newspapers)
- A Fulton County inmate died on Thursday. The Fulton County Sheriff's Office said the inmate was involved with two others in "an incident." The Atlanta police are investigating and the jail officials have not released any other information about what occurred. (WSB Atlanta)
