Man Charged After Shooting Teens Breaking Into His Car: Police
Police said the 13- and 14-year-olds ran from the shooting with respective gunshot injuries to their legs, but were later arrested.

Ask Atlanta Police who arrested a 32-year-old man Monday night after they say he shot a pair of teens trying to break into his car.
Bryant D. Mayner was charged with aggravated assault for shooting at a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old, police said.

Just before 10:30 p.m. Monday, the pair of youngsters were outside the Waffle House near the corner of Memorial Drive and Candler Road attempting to get into Mayner’s vehicle, according to police.
Mayner, who happened to be armed, saw the teens. He aimed his firearm in the direction of his Chevy Malibu and opened fire.

The teens ran and made it nearly three miles away from the Waffle House, to East Atlanta near the corner of Flat Shoals Road and Fayetteville Road, where police found them both shot in the leg.
Both were “alert and breathing” when they were taken to the hospital, police said. And both were taken into police custody and charged with entering an auto and curfew violation.
