Police approached the truck and knocked on the door. Daniel appeared from the rear of the vehicle, opened the passenger door, and claimed he and his “girlfriend” were in the back of the truck stocking shelves.

When police spoke to the girl, she admitted she was 14. Following Daniels' arrest, the victim was interviewed by the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy. She said she had worked for Daniel in his ice cream truck since June 15, 2018, and that he had forced her to have sex with him.
