Man Fatally Stabbed At Homeless Transitional Apartments
Police investigating the stabbing death at Southwest Atlanta homeless transitional apartments.
ATLANTA — Police are investigating a stabbing death early Wednesday morning near Atlanta’s Oakland City neighborhood.
Officers called to the Phoenix House at 1296 Murphy Avenue Southwest around 4:10 a.m., arrived to find a man dead from stab wounds, Atlanta Police spokesman Officer Steve Avery said in an email.
Phoenix House is an apartment complex for people transitioning from homelessness operated by 3Keys, an organization former First Lady Rosalyn Carter helped to start.

Two individuals considered “persons of interest” are in police custody, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting.
Investigators, however, have not identified a suspect.
