Man Wanted For Leaving 7-Year-Old at Crash Scene Turns Self In: Updated

Kadeem D'Anto Fletcher, 25, was wanted on multiple charges, including hit and run & fleeing an officer, police say.

ATLANTA, GA -- State law enforcement officers arrested a man who they say sparked a police chase in DeKalb County, crashed his car at a gas station and fled the scene, leaving behind a 7-year-old girl. Twenty-five-year Kadeem D'Anto Fletcher of Decatur turned himself in late Thursday, police said.

He was wanted on several violations, including attempting to flee an officer, hit and run, speeding and reckless driving, the Georgia State Patrol on Tuesday.

The incident began Monday morning on Interstate 20 when a trooper signaled for Fletcher to pull his Audi over. He pretended as if he was going to, but sped off, according to law enforcement.

The girl, identified as Serenity Largie, was ejected from the car. She was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Her relationship with Fletcher has not been released.

A chase ensued, with Fletcher exiting the Gresham Road and wrecking his car at the Texaco. The car flipped over and hit the gas station's sign, according to news reports.

Fletcher is described as weighing 165 pounds and being 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He has black hair and brown eyes, police said.
