Mascot Brawl: Bevo Charges UGA At Sugar Bowl
Texas put a whippin' on Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. Even the Longhorns' mascot got in on the action, picking a fight with UGA's bulldog.
NEW ORLEANS, LA -- Georgia's Bulldogs never had a chance. Not only did they get stomped on the field in the 2019 AllState Sugar Bowl 28-21 against the Texas Longhorns (in a game that wasn't as close as the final score indicates) but their legendary mascot almost got demolished by Bevo, the Longhorns' mascot.
About an hour before the game, UGA X, Georgia's English bulldog mascot, was being driven around the field by his handlers. When UGA reached Bevo's pen, his handlers took UGA out of his carrier and put him on a leash for some photo ops with the steer. And what happened next made national headlines almost immediately.

Georgia's bad luck continued into the 85th annual edition of the game, with the No. 5-ranked Bulldogs falling to the No. 10-ranked Longhorns on national TV.
