McDonald's Offering 'Mac Jr.' for Free Thursday
Burger is part of new sandwich rollout at restaurant on Ralph Abernathy Boulevard.

ATLANTA, GA -- A McDonald's in Atlanta is offering free sandwiches as part of the rollout to a new burger: the Mac Jr.
The McDonald’s located at 1166 Ralph Abernathy Boulevard will also feature live jazz and music from DJ Jamal Ahmad as part of the event.
Customers that visit the location from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. can try the new Mac Jr. sandwich for free while supplies last.

The Mac Jr. packs the punch of the Big Mac, but in a smaller size with a single layer of beef, the eatery said. The sandwich is tailored for eaters on the go.
The free sandwiches will be available both inside the restaurant and via drive-thru. Customers are encouraged to share their “first taste” pictures on social media using the hashtag #ATLLovesMacJr.

“You’ll know there’s something different when you visit this McDonald’s restaurant, with a building wrap, special Mac Jr. drive-thru, dedicated menu boards and social media stations all heralding this first free taste of the new sandwich for Atlantans,” David Hamilton, president of the Greater Atlanta McDonald’s Operators Association, said in a news release. “A whole new generation is trying out the iconic Big Mac for size, and we are delighted to share the new Mac Jr. with new and old fans alike.”

McDonald’s will roll out the Mac Jr. at all its participating eateries following the event. Free sandwiches will be offered at two other locations in metro Atlanta, one in Kennesaw, and the restaurant on Buford Highway in Doraville.
