Most Famous Super Bowl Commercial Marks 40 Years

The World of Coca-Cola is marking the "Mean" Joe Greene commercial with several activities this Super Bowl week in Atlanta.

ATLANTA -- It's arguably the most famous Super Bowl commercial in history, and its marking its 40th anniversary with Super Bowl LIII on Sunday in Atlanta. You know the one ... an injured, battle-weary "Mean" Joe Greene limping down a deserted stadium tunnel, jersey slung over his shoulder. And then his world brightens a little when a small boy offers him his glass-bottled Coke. As a reward, Greene tosses his game-worn jersey to the boy.

And even though Pepsi has invaded the city as the official soft drink sponsor of Super Bowl LIII, Coca-Cola still has plenty of activities to let visitors know the global beverage giant was born and bred in Atlanta.

On Friday, Feb. 1, World of Coca-Cola will host a “Champions Chat” featuring none other than Greene, Desmond Howard andCarl Banks, moderated by CBS' sports sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson. The event will take place from 2:15 to 3 p.m. and is free with general admission tickets to the attraction.
