Police said Terry Bradshaw was told to stop, but instead got into a fight with an officer and then tried to flee in his pickup.

RIVERDALE, GA — A suspected shoplifter was shot during a confrontation with local police late Tuesday morning at a Clayton County Home Depot. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, two Riverdale police officers responded to a shoplifting call at the Lamar Hutchinson Parkway store around 11:20 am. When they arrived, officers made contact with the suspect, identified as Terry Bradshaw, 42, of Griffin, Georgia.
According to police, Bradshaw continued to his vehicle even after he was told to stop. Bradshaw then got into a physical altercation with one of the officers, then jumped into his truck and began driving away. One of the officers then shot Bradshaw, who was taken to Atlanta Medical Center. Bradshaw is reported to be in serious condition, while both officers sustained minor injuries.

Earlier this year, two neighbors got into an altercation that resulted in one of the men being shot, this time at a Hiram Home Depot Garden Center in Paulding County. Police said the victim and shooter both knew each other and that they have had disagreements in the past. They coincidently ran into each other at The Home Depot, when a verbal argument began.
