Police are searching for Tavoris Ferrell, 29, who is accused of shooting a woman and firing on passing cars, including an Uber driver.
ATLANTA, GA -- Police have identified a suspect that authorities say shot a woman then fired at random motorists as they passed by, including an Uber driver and her passenger, injuring both. A fugitive squad is looking for Tavoris Ferrell, 29, who is wanted for aggravated assault, authorities said.
In the July 28 incident, Atlanta police believe that Ferrell got into an argument with his girlfriend and allegedly shot her. “We have been able to link the vehicle that was involved in the accident, that young lady and the shooter we observed them at a store they left that store together," Lt. Ricardo Vazquez said, according to news reports.
"We have no reason to believe the Uber driver or Uber had anything to do with the other incident between the shooting suspect and the female,” said Vazquez, according to WGCL-TV.
The girlfriend was reportedly shot in the face. She is still in Grady Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
