Police Investigate Robbery at Popeyes in Mableton

SOUTH COBB, GA -- Cobb County police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred overnight Thursday at a Popeye's restaurant.

The incident happened about 12:05 a.m. at the eatery located at 6077 Mableton Parkway in Mableton.

Investigators said the robber pointed a gun at the workers and demanded cash. After getting the money, the thief fled the restaurant, which closes at midnight. One of the victims noticed a burgundy Cadillac leaving the area, police said.

The perpetrator is described as a black male with:

Height: 6’-00” to 6’01” tall

Age: 18-20

Weight: 140-154 pounds

Clothing: Black pants, a black hoodie, and possibly a gray bandana.
