  1. A deputy sheriff was stabbed multiple times yesterday morning at the Fulton County Jail. Officials say the deputy sheriff was attacked while processing the detainee who was charged with misdemeanor terroristic threats. The deputy sheriff was reported in stable condition. An investigation as to how the detainee had a weapon is ongoing. (Atlanta Patch)
  2. Atlanta Popeyes workers called the police on a Georgia State University student who was trying to purchase food for a man experiencing homelessness. The student, Jo Ortega, recorded the interaction where the workers tell her she can't buy the man food and slam the drive-through window shut. The recorded interaction has over five million views on TikTok. Atlanta police say they responded to a call about a woman refusing to leave the drive-through but Ortega did not break any laws. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  3. A single car crash on Sunday on I-85 resulted in the death of one involved being struck by a car on I-75. Police say the crash took place on I-85 and then two passengers climbed over the dividing wall and landed in an active lane of traffic on I-75 where they were stuck by a vehicle. One pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was taken to the hospital. (WSB Atlanta)
  4. Georgia Tech will receive $65 million federal grant for artificial intelligence and manufacturing innovations. The White House administration announced The Georgia Artificial Intelligence Manufacturing Technology Corridor was one of 21 winning projects for the grant. The grant money will be used to focus on creating jobs in distressed and rural communities. (Northwest Georgia News)
  5. A woman was found dead on scene early Sunday morning at a crash on Marietta Boulevard. Investigators believe the woman driving a Ford Escape was speeding when she slammed into a semi truck and got stuck beneath it. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
