Weather officials on Tuesday forecast humidity of 25 percent or less in Georgia, raising chances of fire danger conditions in the state.
GEORGIA — Dry conditions in much of Georgia have heightened the chances of fire danger conditions through at least Friday ahead of what could be a stormy weekend, weather officials stated.
The National Weather Service on Tuesday forecast humidity levels of 25 percent or less in north and central Georgia, including in metro Atlanta, through Tuesday afternoon and into the evening. The NWS reported westerly winds could blow at 10-15 mph with gusts of 20-25 mph.
Residents are cautioned that the fire danger could last through Friday, according to the NWS.
