  1. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, seven people were arrested and charged with domestic terrorism in the shooting that killed one and injured a Georgia state trooper near the proposed Atlanta police training facility that we reported earlier this week. Activists who deemed the site "Cop City" had been camping out on the property for months in an attempt to stop construction. When police began to remove people from the area, gunfire was exchanged. (CNN)
  2. At a recent Atlanta City Council meeting, council members wondered if citizens would be short-changed on future transportation projects, referencing the MARTA state-of-the-art light rail they've already invested in while paying extra on sales tax. MARTA responded in a statement saying, "the model was not complete, and the numbers referenced by Mr. Rowan are one outcome that could be created using a certain set of assumptions." (FOX 5)
  3. Hundreds of students were unenrolled from Westlake High School in Fulton County and parents are not happy. About 400 students were told they were no longer students at the school due to address verifications. Officials said the high school is already overcrowded, which is why the district took these measures. (WSBTV)
  4. A beloved Zoo Atlanta animal died this week. Tahoe, the Harris hawk, was 23 years old and got into a fight with a wild animal in his secure outdoor mew. He succumbed to his injuries. Officials haven't mentioned what animal got inside his cage or how it got inside. (WSBTV)
  5. The victim of a shooting in DeKalb County succumbed to their injuries yesterday. The shooting occurred in the 3600 block of Flat Shoals Road at a Shell gas station. The shooting stemmed from an argument, according to officials. However, no one has been arrested. (11 Alive)
