Gunfire Erupts From Argument Outside Midtown Restaurant Injuring One

A gunfight sparked by arguing sides left one man injured Sunday night at Loca Luna on Amsterdam Avenue, police said.

ATLANTA, GA — One person was reported injured late Sunday night after an argument at a Midtown restaurant led to a flurry of gunfire.

Around 10:48 p.m., police were called to the parking lot of Loca Luna at 550 Amsterdam Avenue in response to reports of shots fired, Atlanta Police said.

WSB Channel 2 News reports that an altercation between two groups of women escalated to the boyfriends of the respective groups opening fire on one another, and reporter Darryn Moore counted 31 bullet holes in a car caught in the crossfire.

One man was shot in the barrage of gunfire and was taken to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, police said.

Investigators are trying to determine the circumstances that led to the incident. No other injuries were reported and police have not identified any suspects.
