Shootout At Video Shoot Leaves Two In Hospital: Police

Police continue to search for the shooting suspect or suspects of the Sunday gunfire exchange in southwest Atlanta.

ATLANTA — A video shoot devolved into a shootout Sunday afternoon leaving two men injured and one man in jail, authorities said.

Officers were called to a business on the corner of Metropolitan Parkway and Wells Street in Atlanta’s Mechanicsville neighborhood around 4 p.m. on Sunday after reports of gunfire, police said.

They arrived to find that one man had been grazed by gunfire while two others who were injured had already left to go to the hospital, Atlanta Police spokesman Sgt. Jarius Daugherty said.

One man, Kenneth Swansen (39) was arrested at the scene of the shooting and charged with drug possession. He is not, police said, considered a shooting suspect

Officers interviewed the 25-year-old and the 29-year-old victims at the hospital where they were being treated for their injuries. Investigators continue to look for suspects of the shooting.
