The parents of 6-month-old Nnakai Pratt both face charges in connection with the infant's death. The child's body was found in a trash bag.

CLAYTON COUNTY, GA — Police on Friday released the cause of death for 6-month-old Nnakai Pratt, whose body was found Tuesday night after a multi-county search.
Nnakai, who was reported missing on Sunday, died of blunt force trauma, Clayton County investigators said during a news conference on Friday. Authorities also revealed the infant's body was found discarded in a trash bag.
Nnakai's parents, Antonio Pearce and Necolette Pratt, both face charges in connection with the baby's death.

According to an 11Alive report, Pearce was granted a $10,000 bond for misdemeanor false report of a crime. He was denied bond on all other charges. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 10 at 8:30 a.m.
Pratt was denied bond for the charges of making false statements and party to a crime, but the judge granted her a $5,000 bond for the misdemeanor charge of obstruction of an officer. She is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 12 at 8:30 a.m.
Nnakai was reported missing around 8:30 a.m. Sunday from the 100 block of Valley Hill, police said.
According to authorities, Pearce told Clayton County police he had been robbed at gunpoint and that the robbers had taken his son from a car seat. Pearce also told officers the robbers fled in an unknown direction, police said.
A warrant said Pearce claimed the incident happened at an apartment he described as a "stash house." He also told responding officers that Nnakai, his twin sister and their mother were with him at the time Nnakai disappeared.
The warrant also claims a witness, an alleged customer of Pearce, contradicted Pearce's story, particularly the timeline of the ambush.
Investigators said they found inconsistencies in Pearce's testimony, as well as physical signs of foul play.
"At this moment, the facts surrounding the disappearance of baby Nnakai Pratt are highly questionable, and CCPD detectives have deemed Nnakai's father to be a suspect in his sudden disappearance," police said earlier this week.
On Sunday, the hours-long search for Nnakai included Georgia Piedmont Region's cadaver dogs and Fayette County Sheriff's Office's bloodhounds. The next day, police said they expanded the search area and used more cadaver dogs from Spalding County's Land Air Water Search team.
According to police, Nnakai's twin sister is now in the custody of the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services.
