Surveillance Video Released Of University Shooting Suspect
Four female students were shot Tuesday night while celebrating outside an Atlanta University Center library.
ATLANTA —Police have released surveillance video of a suspect they believe was involved in a shooting that injured four female students in the Atlanta University Center complex. The shooting happened late Tuesday night, when police said they believe two rival groups began shooting at each other, catching the four students in the crossfire.
The shootings happened around 10:30 pm. Atlanta University Center is a collection of some of the nation's most prestigious historically black colleges and universities in the nation, and includes the campuses of Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College and the Morehouse School of Medicine.
The students have been identified as Erin Ennis, 18; Maia Williams-McLaren, 18; Elyse Spencer, 18; and Kia Thomas, 19. Two are Clark Atlanta students and two are attending Spelman College. The shooting happened outside a Clark Atlanta library.

"One of our top priorities at CAU is the safety and security of our students," Clark Atlanta officials said Wednesday. "Here at Clark Atlanta University, and across the country, students have the right to gather together in celebration without the fear of violence. We will not stand for it in the Atlanta University Center. We are working diligently with Atlanta PD to identify those involved."
