Here are things to do in Atlanta this weekend, Friday, Aug. 25 -- Sunday, Aug. 27.

ATLANTA, GA -- It's late August and metro Atlanta is having one of those weekends. You know, the ones where EVERYTHING is happening at the same time or overlapping. That's not to say that you can't attend, indulge, visit and participate in said goings-on, but it's going to be tough.

Atlanta German Bierfest
if you like exotic suds this event is for you. The Atlanta German Bierfest is Saturday, Aug. 26 at Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta. The event runs from 2 to 7 p.m. Attendees will get to choose from more than 35 authentic German beers at the event, now in its 14th year.

Pigs and Peaches BBQ Festival
Come on up to Cobb County for some good eatin' and a good time on Friday, Aug. 25 from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 26 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The free event will be held at Adams Park. 2600 Park Drive, Kennesaw. 770-424-8274.
The Grant Park Summer Shade Festival
The Grant Park Summer Shade Festival, now in its 15th year,will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26 & 27. There will be food, fun and more from the Grant Park community at the two-day annual music and arts festival.

2017 Walk, Wag n' Run
Put on by the Ahimsa House, this fun Buckhead event includes a fun run, a 1K and 5K -- with your furry friend! Come on out Saturday, Aug. 26 to Lenox Park. The fun begins at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $40 per racer, but spectators to watch for free. Free parking at 1025 Lenox Park Blvd. NE, Atlanta. 404-496-4038.
Brotherman Revelation "Unleashing the Black Imagination” fine art exhibition
Artist Dawud Anyabwile, the creator and illustrator of the "Brotherman" graphic novel series, will be on hand to present this immersive exhibition that delves into alternative black mythology and cultural symbolism. The event runs from Sunday, Aug. 20 to Sunday, Sept. 24 at the The Auburn Avenue Research Library on African-American Culture and History (AARL).
