Thousands Expected at Anti-Abortion March Monday

March for Life begins at 11 a.m. at Liberty Plaza, near the state Capitol.

ATLANTA, GA – Just days after thousands of people packed downtown Atlanta for a march advocating for social justice and women, crowds are expected Monday for the annual March for Life.

The event is sponsored by anti-abortion group Georgia Right to Life (GRTL), which has had a powerful lobby at the state Capitol for years.

The event, which begins at 11 a.m. at Liberty Plaza near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Capitol Avenue, will feature a memorial service and keynote speakers the Benham brothers, who used to play Major League Baseball.

"Our society continues to show an almost total disregard for the value of human life," GRTL Executive Director Zemmie Fleck said in a news release. "We've lost over 60 million children to abortion and there's a growing lack of compassion for the elderly, the disabled, and the infirm."
