UHY Advisors Announce New Managing Director

From UHY Advisors: UHY Advisors today announced that Cindy Hannafey has been named a Managing Director at the firm. Hannafey is based in the Atlanta office, serving UHY clients nationwide.

As a leader in UHY’s Management & Technology Consulting practice, she brings more than 20 years of expertise in strategic planning and visioning, portfolio, program and project management (P3M), digital transformation, shared service implementation and optimization, post-merger integration, and operational and financial process optimization services.

Hannafey offers clients exceptional expertise in analyzing existing operations and implementing the strategies, processes and technologies to address enterprise-wide challenges. She reports to UHY Advisors’ Managing Director in the southeast, Frank Fenello.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Project Management Professional (PMP), Hannafey is highly skilled in the development of project management methodologies including tools, templates, and technologies for companies. She creates Shared Services solutions for clients that provide changes that are fundamental to their operations, lasting and sustainable, and delivered through tested and proven methodologies.

Hannafey also supports clients as they deal with post-merger integration issues, helping to integrate and optimize operations, technologies, and culture. She also works with companies on digital transformation, helping them capitalize on and realize the full value of information technology, related business processes, and employee technology adoption.

Her expertise also includes:

• Managing Order-to-Cash process optimization projects across many industries, including a specialty subscription service division of a multinational information and Analytics Company, a division of a national home services provider and an automotive supplier, identifying more than $21 million in operational efficiencies.
• Creating and program managing a special purpose PMO for a facility move and plant consolidation for a Tier-One automotive supplier, saving over $3 million in operational costs through process efficiencies and economies of scale.
• Managing a Record-to-Report process optimization project for a specialty insurance company resulting in improved financial controls, enhanced automation and workflows, compressing reporting schedules by 78 percent.
• Developed a comprehensive and integrated financial reporting system for month-end, year-end, forecasting, and budgeting processes for a global consumer products company, resulting in a compression of the record-to-report cycles by over 60 percent.

Prior to joining UHY, Hannafey co-founded Lehan Partners and worked at Callaway Partners and The Coca-Cola Company. She is a member of the Project Management Institute, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of CPAs.

In the community, she has been involved with the National Association of Women Business Owners, the Health, Education & Rehabilitation Organization and The Coca-Cola Company Family Federal Credit Union.

Hannafey earned her Bachelor of Accounting from the University of South Florida and her MBA from the Michael Coles School of Business at Kennesaw State University. She lives in Marietta, Georgia
