Vernicia Respres creates signature artwork for 2025 Atlanta Jazz Fest

The artwork showcases the vibrant energy of live jazz performances. T-shirts & posters with the artwork will be on sale at the jazz fest.

“We are excited to announce the signature artwork for the 48th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival has been created by Vernicia Respres,” states Adriane Jefferson, Executive Director of the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. “The colorful artwork depicts a saxophonist in the spotlight showcasing the vibrant energy of live jazz performances.”

Vernicia’s artwork “Streetlight Jazz” will be featured on this year’s Atlanta Jazz Festival poster and t-shirt which will be available for sale at the festival in Piedmont Park on Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-26.

As a lifelong creative, Vernicia Respres understands the power of representation and access to the arts. In 2018, she founded BRUSHED, a luxury art studio and gallery, to provide a beautiful, inclusive space for guests to learn, shop, create, and host private events. Over the years, she has expanded her reach by offering virtual and live art services, making a lasting impact well beyond Georgia.

Her evolution allowed Vernicia to thrive during the pandemic, connecting with isolated and underserved communities through art. Since then, she has become a renowned fine artist, been selected for a Netflix show, and launched her own streaming network, Brushed TV.

Vernicia specializes in fine art services, including live wedding painting, and curated art for tradeshows and commercial spaces. She has also collaborated with churches, nonprofits, and businesses to provide custom artwork and community-based art initiatives. The 48th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival is presented by the City of Atlanta - Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs.
