ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta Police released a video of a suspect in a double stabbing murder case and are asking for the public’s help to identify him.

Both the 31-year-old Aaron and McDevitt, 30, were later found stabbed to death, authorities said.

Police on Monday evening posted surveillance footage of their visitor in hopes that someone might recognize him and offer some information to help solve the case.
“We want individuals to pay attention to the way that this individual walks, (and) the manner in which he moves up and down the hallway,” Atlanta Police homicide unit commander Lt. Ralph Wolfolk said as he narrated the video. “We think that he has a very peculiar walk. It’s very distinct Look at the mannerisms. Look at the way that this individual just carries himself throughout this video.”

The night of Nov. 22, around 9:30 p.m., police were called to the couple’s apartment where they were found dead. Investigators say the incident is isolated.
The video footage follows the individual investigators have targeted, a slender figure in black jeans, a white shirt, black jacket, black hat, and a blue surgical mask, from when he comes to the apartment building from the parking deck and is let into the couple’s home through when he leaves.
Wolfolk begins from the opening of the video, which shows the subject in the parking deck.
“You see him stop here adjacent to a door that is closest to the victims’ apartment,” Wolfolk said. “He does not make access to that door but he stands there texting. He then is buzzed into the apartment, and you see him in the main hallway.”
The footage then jumps to the man walking up and down a hallway as though he is searching for the correct apartment.
“The suspect is going to walk to the victims’ apartment and remain there for approximately five minutes, as he’s texting someone inside,” Wolfolk said. “He’s then let into the apartment where he stays for approximately an hour and a half.”
Later footage shows the man walking down a corridor carrying a large, square object police said was a safe, then out to a wrought-iron fence over which he throws the safe, then climbs and jumps.
“The individual possibly has a nose ring that we want individuals to pay some attention to that we think may aid us in our investigation,” Wolfolk said.
