Wondering how the site of Super Bowl LIII was built? Watch this EarthCam time lapse video of Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

ATLANTA -- With the eyes of the world squarely fixed on Atlanta for Super Bowl LIII, EarthCam is sharing its construction time-lapsed video of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of this Sunday's game. The video showcases 39 months of progress with high-definition imagery and daily 900 megapixel panoramas. Viewers can see the entire construction process from start to opening day in less than 2 minutes. EarthCam construction cameras were onsite from June 2014 to September 2017 to document the stadium project.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which seats up to 71,000 people, opened in August 2017 and is only one of five NFL stadiums with a retractable roof. It is home to the NFL's Atlanta Falcons and 2018 MLS Cup Champions Atlanta United FC, both owned by Home Depot co-founder Arthur Blank, who also owns the stadium.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium holds the record of the world's largest halo board.
