The NFL is days away from crowning a new champion: Will it be the perennially great New England Patriots or high-flying Atlanta Falcons?
The Falcons come into the game with the league's top-rated offense, guided by quarterback Matt Ryan, who is enjoying an otherworldly season and leading his team to 33 points a game. The Patriots have Tom Brady, the 17-year veteran who is arguably the best quarterback the league has ever seen.
Now that we've got those numbers out of the way, let's get down to the most important ones for fans. Here is everything you need to know about Super Bowl LI.

Venue: NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas
Commentators: Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will do play-by-play and color commentating; Erin Andrews will be the sideline reporter.

Tickets: Yes, tickets are still available, especially if you're a big baller. Try the Captains Package, which includes VIP access, a three-hour tailgate party featuring Texas' best foods and a Bruno Mars concert — all for $4,559.
Weather: The temperature in Houston is forecast to be 79 degrees with scattered thunderstorms. NRG Stadium, the NFL's first venue with a retractable roof, will be ready for anything. "If the weather cooperates with us — which we hope it does — the roof will be open," NFL director of events Eric Finkelstein told the Associated Press.
What's allowed inside NRG Stadium: As with any NFL game, some bag sizes are prohibited. Here are the deets:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches -or-
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose. For more information, see NRG Stadium Policies.
Halftime performance: Lady Gaga will provide the "monstrous" festivities. The last time the Super Bowl was in Houston, two new words entered the American lexicon: "wardrobe malfunction" and "Nipplegate" (Let's see if Gaga can top that).
Atlanta arrived in Houston over the weekend, and New England is scheduled to land Monday about 4 p.m. ET in preparation for a week of events scheduled by the NFL, including:
Monday, Jan 30. — Media Day: If you're hoping to see some coverage, your best bet will be at NFL Network, ESPN2 or Fox Sports 1. Interviews at Houston's Minute Maid Park are scheduled to take place from 8:15 to 9:15 p.m. and 10-11 p.m.
