A nationwide franchise breaks ground in Georgia for the first time, while a local taco eatery continues to expand its footprint.

GEORGIA — Whether you want a modern-casual dining experience or Mexican, or perhaps have a taste for truffle fries, metro Atlanta has welcomed five new restaurants to serve diverse flavors.

Patch has compiled this list of new restaurants that either will open or have opened, all with their own identities in metro Atlanta's culinary landscape.

Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurants, Alpharetta

Where: 7750 N. Point Pkwy., Alpharetta

Product or Service: Chef recommendations, filet mignon, soy ginger Atlantic salmon, country rigatoni, flatbread cheese pizza for kids, creme brulee french toast and Cooper's Hawk chilaquiles for brunch and assorted wines and cocktails.

Amenities: Catering, reservations, a tasting room, carryout, a wine club, gift cards and online shopping.

Hours of operation: Coming soon. Opening on Feb. 17.

"Cooper’s Hawk has created a modern, casual dining experience with warm hospitality in an inviting upscale setting. Our culinary team has designed a contemporary American menu infused with flavors from around the world," according to the company's biography.

Voodoo Brewing Co., Roswell

Where: 1010 Mansell Road, Ste. 180, Roswell

Product or Service: Truffle fries, pub pretzels, pulled pork nachos or fries, garlic fried brussel sprouts, chorizo and lime mussels, angry mussels, signature pizzas and burgers and rouse house salad.

Amenities: VIP membership club, franchise opportunities and special events.

Hours of operation: 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday.

Portillo's, Kennesaw

Where: 790 Cobb Place Blvd. Northwest, Kennesaw

Product or Service: Onion rings, garlic bread, char-broiled burgers, a half-slab ribs dinner, breaded whitefish sandwich, salads, spaghetti, mostaccioli, penne ala vodka, milkshakes and cakes.

Amenities: Dining room, outdoor patio, double drive-thru lanes, grab-and-go retail area, Portillo's Birthday Club, catering, online ordering, gift cards, late-night wedding catering, apparel and merchandise.

Hours of operation: Coming soon.

“As we continue to grow and expand our footprint across the Sun Belt, entering the bustling Atlanta market was a no-brainer," Portillo's CEO Michael Osanloo said in a news release. “We’re thrilled to expand into Georgia, and we can’t wait to bring our unrivaled, crave-worthy Chicago-style street food to lifelong brand fans, as well as new ones, in a brand-new market.”

Rreal Tacos, Decatur

Where: 312 Church St., Decatur

Product or Service: Beef barbacoa, pork carnitas, shrimp and veggie, quesabirria, Rreal nachos, fresh guacamole, handcrafted margaritas, tequilas and mezcals and agua frescas.

Amenities: Gift cards, reservations, delivery and online ordering.

Hours of operation: Coming soon. Opens on Feb. 10.

“This is an exciting milestone for us as we join the dynamic Decatur community,” Rreal Tacos Culinary Dir. Adrian Villarreal said in a news release. “The energy here is inspiring, and this location embodies our commitment to bringing authentic Mexican street food and exceptional dining experiences to more neighborhoods in Atlanta.”

Chick-fil-A, Poncey-Highlands

Where: 777 Ponce De Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta

Product or Service: Grilled and fried chicken nuggets, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, kale crunch, salads, waffle fries, hash brown scramble bowl, chicken and sausage biscuits, berry parfait and dipping sauce varieties.

Amenities: Dine-in, carry-out, mobile curbside and third-party delivery.

Hours of operation: 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Monday-Saturday.
