World Of Coca Cola Re-Opened After Bomb Threat

Police had canine units searching the attraction and museum Tuesday afternoon.

ATLANTA, GA — The World of Coca-Cola in downtown Atlanta re-opened Tuesday afternoon after it received a bomb threat Tuesday and was evacuated as police investigated.

Atlanta Police Department spokeswoman Officer Lisa Bender said officers early Tuesday afternoon were investigating a threat at 121 Baker St., which is the address of World of Coca-Cola. Canine units had been requested to search the area, she said.

On Twitter, World of Coca-Cola told visitors the attraction will be "temporarily closed" Tuesday afternoon and apologized for any inconvenience.

In downtown Atlanta, World of Coca-Cola opened in its current location in 2007. It overlooks Centennial Olympic Park, which was the site of the 1996 Summer Olympics bombing that killed one person and injured 111 others.
