Ewww: Zoo Atlanta Names Baby Cockroach After Tom Brady
A bet is a bet, or in this case, a bug.
ATLANTA, GA -- Zoo Atlanta has had to pay up after wagering that the Falcons would beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl. The deal was that the losing team's city zoo would have to name one of its baby animals after the winning quarterback.
We all know what happened there, but if there's a silver lining, it's that Zoo Atlanta visitors can have the last laugh: A cockroach has been named after Tom Brady.
In Instagram post, the zoo said that the insect was actually Madagascar hissing cockroach. "So without further ado - Meet our newly-named Program Animal family!" Oh, the burn!

Well … the New England Patriots won #SuperBowlLI, so that means we lost our bet with Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village. Before the game, our two zoos decided the losing side would name one of their baby animals after the winning team’s star quarterback, and figuring the losing side would be pretty bitter about it, we came to the agreement that baby animal … would be a Madagascar hissing cockroach. So without further ado - Meet our newly-named Program Animal family!

No word yet on whether Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, Rhode Island is appreciative of the honor. *smile*
