• Woman arrested after starting fights in Athens dive bar (classiccitynews.com) — A 41-year-old Winder woman was arrested in Athens after a late-night disturbance at Mell’s Place on Atlanta Highway, where a vulgar note allegedly sparked fights among bar patrons. Police say she was later found nearby and charged with disorderly conduct, while she maintains the note was misunderstood and claims she was attacked.
