'Servant' Troubles: Bethlehem Woman Thinks the Driver Did It
The woman noticed fraudulent credit card purchases after leaving her credit card where the driver could access it.

A 74-year-old Bethlehem woman believes her driver may be to blame for a pair of unauthorized credit card transactions.
On June 22, the woman said she gave her driver permission to borrow her car so that he could go help his brother whose vehicle had reportedly broken down on the side of the roadway.Â
"She stated when the driver returned, he refused to go inside and went home for the day," the deputy wrote in the report.Â
After she remembered that the credit card she allowed him to use to fuel the vehicle had been left in the car, she called her bank to check recent transactions. At that point, she discovered two unauthorized purchases had been made: a $176 purchase at a Winder meat market and a $50 purchase at a Chevron in Bethlehem.
The woman gave the deputy the name of her driver, but could not provide any further information.
"She stated she changes her 'servants' frequently and does not have any formal hiring process," the deputy noted in the report.
After gathering the woman's information, the deputy advised her to contact Winder Police in regards to the meat market transaction.
The case is listed as active.
